There’s a new name rising fast in the metal scene, and it’s as bold as it is cryptic: President. They’ve only released two tracks so far, but both land hard enough to turn heads.

President first caught attention with their debut single “In the Name of the Father”, released on May 15, 2025. The track is a grim, cinematic plunge into fear and faith, built on industrial textures, massive guitars, and haunting vocals. It set the tone for a band that doesn’t just want to make noise but craft an atmosphere.

They followed it up on June 5 with “Fearless”, a slower burn that leans into tension and drama. It arrives with the feel of a second chapter, hinting that President has a larger story to tell. Both songs feel calculated, precise, and heavy in more ways than one.

For weeks, their identity was a mystery. No credits. No faces. Just a logo, a message, and the music. Then the reveal came: Charlie Simpson, best known for his work in Busted and Fightstar, was the voice behind it all. It was an unexpected move, but it fits. His vocal work in Fightstar always hinted at something darker. President just pushes it further.

They’ve already taken this project live. Their first show was a surprise slot at Download Festival, where they played in full masks and lit the stage up like a military campaign. A few weeks later, they sold out The Garage in London with only two songs out. That kind of momentum doesn’t happen by accident.

Right now, President feels like a band on the edge of something bigger. No album has been announced, no interviews have been given, and very little is known about who else is involved. But maybe that’s the point. It’s not about the personalities. It’s about the feeling.
