Canadian heavy metal pioneers Kittie have announced the Legacy Of Fire Tour: 30 Years of Kittie, a 16-date North American headline run set for June 2026. The tour marks the band’s first full headline tour in more than a decade and celebrates thirty years since the group formed in 1996. Special guests Kingdom of Giants and Gore will join the tour on all dates.
The run begins June 6 in St. Louis and concludes June 27 in Montreal, with stops in major markets including Denver, Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Toronto, and more. The Atlanta date will take place June 19 at The Masquerade, bringing the anniversary tour to one of the band’s longtime touring cities.
The announcement follows a strong resurgence period for the band. Kittie returned to active touring in 2022 and released their comeback album Fire in 2024, which reached number 13 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart and earned a 2025 Juno Award nomination for Metal / Hard Music Album of the Year. In 2025, the band also released Spit XXV, a re-recorded and re-imagined anniversary EP celebrating 25 years of their debut album Spit.
In a statement released with the tour announcement, the band shared:
“We’re excited to announce our Legacy of Fire tour on the eve of our 30th anniversary as a band. Thirty years ago, we ignited a spark. Three decades later, that fire is still burning, stronger and more focused than ever. Legacy of Fire is a celebration of every stage, every struggle, and every fan who carried us forward. Coming back to the US and Canada for our first full headline tour over a decade feels incredible. We’re ready to honor our history while ushering in the next chapter.”
Since their formation in London, Ontario in 1996, Kittie have remained one of the most influential bands in modern heavy music. Their 1999 debut album Spit was certified gold and helped establish the band as one of the most successful female-fronted metal acts of their era. Over the years the group has released multiple studio albums including Oracle, In The Black, and I’ve Failed You, before returning in 2024 with new material produced by Nick Raskulinecz.
With nearly a million monthly listeners on Spotify and recent appearances at festivals including Sick New World, Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Shiprocked, and Aftershock, the band continues to reach new generations of fans while celebrating their legacy.
