SweetWater 420 Fest came back to Atlanta in a new spot this year at Shirley Clarke Franklin Park, and it immediately felt like a good move. Put on by SweetWater Brewing, the festival still carried that same laid-back, beer-driven vibe it’s known for, just with more room to spread out. From the start, it felt organized. People were getting in smoothly, grabbing a beer, and finding their spot without the usual early-day chaos.

Some nights are built to escalate, and this one did exactly that. Four bands, each heavier than the last, all packed into the Coca-Cola Roxy on a Braves game night, which already had the area chaotic before doors even opened. Once inside though, it locked in quick. This wasn’t a casual crowd. People showed up early and stayed engaged the entire night, which says a lot when you’re starting this heavy right out of the gate.

Teddy Swims has announced his 2026 “The Ugly Tour”, a North American run kicking off in September and continuing through November with support from his live band Freak Freely.
