Post hardcore legends, Chiodos, brought the Alls Well That Ends Well 20th anniversary tour to a close this past weekend in Anaheim, California. Bringing in a diverse lineup and immersive stage production, this night was one to remember.

Big Ass Truck took the stage and instantly made it their own in true hardcore fashion. Their energy was immediately through the roof and anyone there could definitely tell how it was influencing the fans. The inland band has been taking over the hardcore scene for a while now, their heavy breakdowns and humurous callouts had the crowds attention from the jump. With a band like BAT to start the night off, everyone knew the show was in motion to be incredible.

Holywatr followed shorty after, bringing a more modern metalcore sound to the lineup, winning over the audience with melodic choruses and even slow ballads filling the room. Despite their set including some slower songs, Holywatr still kept the crowd moving with their loud stage presence. Their post hardcore influence definitely won over anyone who wasn’t already on bored.

The moment the opening to “All Nererids Beware,” began, it was as if the world stopped, everyone instantly belting every word with as crowdsurfers passed above them. The nostalgia filled show began as Frontman Craig Owens’ showcased his iconic live vocals alongside the timeless guitar riffs that never gets old.
After reuniting in 2024 at When We Were Young festival, Chiodos gained new found popularity on various social media platforms. Over the course of each leg of this tour, it’s very adamant how many new fans the band has gained since their return. This band continues to appeal to younger generations for years to come despite the prolonged hiatus.
As the show went on, playful chaos ensued from the back of the venue to the stage as not one person seemed to be standing still. Chiodos expressed their gratitude towards the crowd as well, highlighting the bittersweet end to a legendary tour.
Everyone only got louder as the show rolled on, not slowing down once instead only getting louder until the very end.
The band played through the entirety of “Alls Well That Ends Well,” as well as performing 2 tracks off of their sophomore album, “Bone Palace Ballet: Grand Cola,” before closing with the emo anthem of all time, “Baby, You Wouldn’t Last A Minute On The Creek.”
Only time will tell what the future holds for Chiodos, all we know for sure is that this night was definitely one for the books.
