Angine de Poitrine Tour 2026
Quebec experimental duo Angine de Poitrine have officially announced their 2026 North American tour, including an Atlanta stop at The Masquerade on November 25.
Over the last year, the masked two-piece has become one of the internet’s most talked-about underground bands thanks to their viral live performances, bizarre stage presence, and insanely technical musicianship. Blending elements of microtonal math rock, progressive rock, jazz fusion, looping, and experimental rock, the duo have built a cult following around their surreal visuals and hypnotic live sets. Their viral KEXP performance earlier this year helped launch the band into a much bigger spotlight almost overnight.
Part of what makes Angine de Poitrine stand out is how strange everything feels while still being incredibly tight musically. Between the giant papier-mâché masks, triangle hand gestures, custom-built instruments, and looping arrangements, it would be easy for the whole thing to come off as a gimmick, but the musicianship behind it is very real. Guitarist Khn de Poitrine performs using a custom double-neck microtonal guitar and bass setup while drummer Klek de Poitrine constantly shifts grooves and time signatures without losing the energy that pulls crowds in.
The project originally started in Quebec in 2019 as a disguise so the members could secretly perform a second set at a local venue under another name. What began almost as a joke quickly evolved into one of the most unique live acts currently touring.
